TypeX is a revolutionary keyboard product, built for the age of Web 3 and AI, compresses crypto UX from minutes to milliseconds — one keystroke at a time.
The keyboard is still the most-used input surface in digital life — more than mouse, more than voice, and more than touch — especially in high-leverage tasks. Average users spend 1-2 hours per day on keyboards, on par with social media applications. The way that we interact with keyboard hasn’t changed for the past 50 years, but the way we work has.
Despite taking up an important chunk of screen time, venture investment in standalone keyboard products has been sparse. That’s because keyboards have traditionally been treated as utility layers, not strategic products — embedded within OS monopolies (Apple, Google, Microsoft), input hardware (Logitech, Razer), or bundled apps.
We believe AI and crypto are fundamentally reshaping the keyboard as an interface — and TypeX is uniquely positioned to lead this shift. In an agentic future, the most powerful interfaces won’t be chatbots or plugins, but invisible, always-on surfaces woven into existing workflows — and the keyboard is already in that loop. Crypto plays a critical role here, not just in ensuring user-owned data privacy, but as a native incentive layer that aligns users and products through onchain rewards.
TypeX is an AI-powered keyboard designed for the crypto-native and agent-driven future of work. By transforming the keyboard into an intelligent, context-aware interface, TypeX allows users to write, sign, search, and interact with Web3 apps and AI agents directly from their typing surface — without switching tabs or breaking flow. It’s more than a productivity tool; it’s a command-line for the onchain world, enabling seamless execution, wallet-aware inputs, and agentic workflows right where users already spend hours each day: the keyboard.

TypeX also introduces a new value loop: users can choose to share their typing data and be rewarded in crypto, turning one of the most overlooked digital behaviors into an onchain asset class.
We also believe the TypeX team is uniquely equipped to bring this next-generation keyboard vision to life. CEO Young has spent the past decade building in the keyboard space, including leading the development of Facemoji Keyboard, which reached over 30 million daily active users and was ranked #9 on a16z’s Top 100 GenAI Consumer Apps by MAU. His deep expertise in keyboard interfaces, combined with a sharp understanding of crypto and AI trends, makes him exceptionally well-suited to pioneer this new category.
At Impa Ventures, we invest at the intersection of intelligence and ownership — with a focus on crypto, AI, and the interfaces that enable new forms of coordination and agency. We look for products that can become daily habits, infrastructure that empowers new economic primitives, and teams that build with velocity and insight. In Web3 specifically, we want to build a portfolio of companies with the most active users. TypeX sits squarely within this thesis: a keyboard-native interface that merges crypto identity, agentic workflows, and user-owned data incentives into one seamless experience. We see it not just as a productivity tool, but as a wedge into how humans and machines will interact in the next era of computing.
We are excited about what Young and his team has shipped so far and we can’t wait for the new launch of Type X keyboard.
